Measure the length and width of your area in metres and multiply them together to get the square meterage. We recommend adding 10% extra for standard cuts, 15% for more complex layouts, and 20% for diagonal patterns. You can use the coverage calculator on any tile product page.
Matt tiles have a flat, non-reflective finish that hides footprints and watermarks — ideal for floors and high-traffic areas. Glossy tiles reflect light, making spaces feel larger and brighter, and are popular for walls and bathrooms. Both finishes are available across most of our tile ranges.
Many of our tiles are suitable for both floor and wall use — check the "Suitable for" field on each product page. Floor tiles are generally heavier, so always ensure your wall substrate is strong enough to support them and use the correct adhesive.
For most large-format porcelain tiles, a 2–3mm grout gap is standard. Rectified tiles (precision-cut) can be laid with a 1.5mm gap. For natural stone or handmade tiles, a wider 5–10mm gap is typical. Our team can advise on the best gap for your specific tiles.
